1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am 24 and travel the country spreading the word about childhood cancer. I am a two time childhood cancer survivor and at age 15 founded KHKidz, a nationwide nonprofit helping kids with cancer. I currently am CEO of the nonprofit. I graduated from University of West Florida with my Bachelors in Public Relations in 2014. Currently creating a blog about travel, lifestyle, inspiration and more.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
Inspiration and traveling. I post a lot about our events that we are hosting, traveling, and inspiration to others.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
Love is one of our messages that I try to spread, spreading love helps others.. #lovehelpz..
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
Snapseed!!
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I follow a lot of health instagrammers and that gives me a ton of inspirations to get up and keep going.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Traveling and seeing the world!
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
Connecting with others, whether it be brands or fellow instagrammers, I love connecting and being able to help others.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
For me, I maintain authenticity by only posting brands that I want to stand behind and that I believe in and it has to be aligned with my image.
My tips for brands running campaigns is to choose influencers that have an audience they want to reach. Also to allow that influencer to post in their own words. I have a good general idea of what my fellow instagrammers like and don’t like by the comments/likes on certain posts. Also an influencer can lose authenticity by posting generic posts that look scripted.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
As mentioned above, I think this is huge to both the influencer and the brand. It looks tacky if there are tons of influencers posting a photo with a scripted caption. It can cause the brand and influencer to lose credibility.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
Learning and connecting with new brands that I may have never tried previously. I love being able to spread the word about great brands/products.
