Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Karolina @carolineeys

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Latvia, the greenest country in the whole world. I am studying in Riga state gymnasium N.1 , that is in the heart of our capital city. I do lots of sports, which make me genuinely happy. If to describe my life in two words it would be: Balanced joy.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post colorful views of different cities I visited. I do post videos, where I sing and play guitar or piano. I also post photos where I am inspired to jump on the snowboard or just some rides on the skateboard. Sometimes I post parcour trics or lovely photos with my true friends. I actually visualise my positive life and each photo has it’s meaning for me. What I have been doing many times – telling stories or situations which i was facing these days. It helps people to understand, that they are not alone who thinks and have some difficulties.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is pronounced differently in Latvian, Russian and English. Russian version is strict and accurate – Karolina. Latvian is more soft and has tge long “e” and typically latvian “s” at the end of many words – Karoliina. And finally english people prefer saying – Caroline. So my instagram is a mix of these – @carolineeys

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I have an Iphone 6s right now, that makes goods photos and has a high quality from the beggining. Also I use Snapseed, VSCO sometimes, but many photos have almost no corrections.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

As a sportive person I adore @gopro and @redbull images, what is also cool, the travellers @twintheworld @janaklendere @artemsheldr @1924us @vita_century @svetlanamars

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Snowboarding or for vegetarians – meet and snowboarding.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like, when people meet me and say: WHEN YOUR NEXT PHOTO WILL COME? I WANT NEW STORY. It makes me fell usefull for the world and I know, that people look and read my posts. I love it, definitely.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You can bring a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. It is the same! If you show, that something is really good, it is not 100% people will buy or use it. But if have your original audience, where people admire and love something you do, it will turn to be successful advertising or helpful advice.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People don’t like when you lie to them. I do say the truth, even when it is sore. It is the way how the world works. The more true the higher evaluation.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

That you actually like the thing you are presenting. I wouldn’t do something just for fun. I would give advice to people, who really need it. Every brand or piece of something is usefull, but what is interesting for me – the process of saying, that something is truly good.
