Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Julie @Julesacrosstheworld

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m coming from Belgium, Antwerp. Right now I’m still studying at secondary school, I’m doing human sciences so I only have two more years to go until I’m graduated. Can’t wait to start at uni or college!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m a coffee addict so you can always find the best coffee spots and coffees on my instagram, just love to go coffee bar hunting as I call it! I also love baking and drawing and travelling, you can always find photos of that as well on my account. I’m also very fascinated about interior and architecture. And don’t forget winter, I’m all about winter!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well my name is Julie but most of my friends call me ‘Jules’ and because I love the world and travelling I suddenly had the idea to call it julesacrosstheworld! I have many travel plans to be a real globetrotter.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I only use some effect from my phone itself and I do some little adjustments like brightness and stuff like that but I’m doing that on instagram. That’s actually my editing-routine.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

First of all Patricia Manfield, love her style, to me she’s a fashion icon. Secondly Brittany Bathgate, absolutely love her minimalism and her white style and fees. Thirdly Zoe Laz and Allie M Taylor, both are travellers in the mountians or colder and snowy places which I adore as I’m a winter person. Lastly Louise Amelie and Jasmine Downling, both are having a gorgeous feed and both really inspire me to happy and to get the best out of little things.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Maybe if they’ve got something like pff I’m losing followers all the time that they just need to remember to keep their head up and it’s normal that you’ve got ups and downs. So do I have!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The fact that people really like the photos I take and that just boosts my confidence which is a great feeling. They make you feel that you matter in this whole world of social media.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Something where you both sponsor eachother, like you get something from a brand but you also need to post a picture of that thing on your instagram. I think it’s difficult to maintain authenticity in this case because you don’t have got that much options. Christmas giveaways and normal giveaways with special products that are hard to find can be very authentic though.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Well it just needs to be in a good estate, else you can’t really recommand it to others I think. So for originality, it needs to be original because who wants to join a giveaway of the same thing? Because now I’m seeing bikini-giveaways everywhere. If it’s something not that original but something that’s very popular like Kylie Jenner lip kits and stuff like that then it’s okay to be not that original.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Just the fact that they like your photos and that they want you to feature their products, such an honor!
