Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Joy Peng @joyjoyjoypeng

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Taiwan for my undergraduate education at Yale-NUS College. I am turning 21 years old this year!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Restaurant/Food reviews, makeup, and lifestyle-related posts.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted people to remember my name, so I used “joy” three times. I also don’t like to have numbers or symbols in my username because it decreases the clarity level, so I only used letters.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I first use my iPhone to take the photos in Portrait made, then use PicsArt to edit minor blemishes of the photos. Then I use Instagram filters and editing function for a final touch.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

To share with my followers the same source of happiness I’ve discovered in my life.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I haven’t joined any campaigns but would like to start them soon!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Engage with your campaign’s participants. Write “call to action” messages.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Original content draws more attention. Higher quality gives off the impression of higher credibility, which means more business.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

When people around me enjoy using the same brands I do and see the beauty in them.
