Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: John Paul D. Arrieta @jpdarrieta

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello! My friends call me Paul. I really love surfing the social media especially, instagram. I always post picture about my ootd, food, some travel and my essentials. I really love taking photos. I also love arts and crafts, I love graphite portrait and watercolor painting. I also fond of going to places and taste the food that the place has to offer. I really like to become an influencer, not just because it is related to the course the I have finished which is Marketing Management but also because I really want to influence people on how I made my life.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

In my Instagram post, I always upload photos about fashion, travel, and food.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name was jpdarrieta, It is just a simplified name of mine. I like my instagram name to be real and natural and easy to remember.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The apps that I am using and I really love the most are vsco cam and lightroom cc. But now, lightroom is my favorite.Whenever I took a photo, I am going to import the picture to lightroom cc. Minor adjustments like exposure and contrast should be done first. After that, the preset that I made will be paste to the photo. I always ensure that all of my photos have the same amount of exposure, contrast, and color. So that when people visits my instagram feed it is currated very well.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really admire a lot of instagrammers, like dgrazon, davidguison, jpbdeleon, idandu, vinaguerrero, and kerwinking. This instagrammers is really kind and has an admirable attitude and passion, I have already met them all and it was amazing. Dgrazon inspires me the most, I have been following him since the days that he just got 1k followers and I have seen how passionate he work in order to reach where he is right now.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

To my fellow instagrammers, currating feed is really hard. You need to post pictures that has a nice arrangement. If I will give an app to try, I will let them try Planoly, this app helps you to see how your feed will look like if you will gonna post a set of photos, It will be more convenient because you can see what your feed will look like before you upload the picture on instagram.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part is that you can share to your followers the experience of a certain product you are using and also becoming an influencer gives me self- satisfaction because I believe I meant to be an influencer.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

To those brands out there, marketing competition is really tight. You must know your market and how to get those market. As a brand, we must use influencers that will promise us deliverables and help us to achieve company’s goal. Influencers should have a unique and original content. Influencers must share the experience to the people on a natural and honest way.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and origial content is really important. As an influencer, I promised that I will not just post a normal and copied content. To be an effective influencer, I need to create contents that will make difference and will help the brand to have a positive feedbacks from the consumers.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Partnering with brands is really challenging. Each brands has different approach and you need to fit in on how the brand position itself to the market. I really love to have a little freebies from the brand and try those products and share to the community the experience of using a particular brand.
