Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Joey @yourgentlesmile

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently pursing my degree under University of Birmingham, and I will be graduating next year. Just turned 21 and I can’t wait to explore the world!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travelling, Lifestyle, Fashion, Food and Dance. I usually post updates of my life, tho travel photos fill up 60% of it.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It was a part of my favourite Korean song by my favourite Korean group then, Why I like you by SuperJunior. I wanted to create an username with my name but I guess there’s too many Joeys in this world.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually do no edit my photos, unless the photos are taken in low light, I will then adjust the light exposure in my Iphone. Or I will use the iphone filter, favourites are Chrome, Fade and Instant!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I do not have particular favourite, I will usually scroll through my explore pages to look at other Instagrammers. Tho recently I’m into princesses dress, and this Instagrammer @designerdaddy_ makes awesome dresses.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to geo-tag each photo you post on Instagram, especially if you travel! I find great joy to see photos in different parts of the world.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I feel that I can share my views and opinions to more people, especially my travel tips. Being a frequent traveller has made friends ask me about my experiences, as well as what I would recommend them to do in places that they want to visit.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I feel that I want to share my views with my followers, if the product is good, it’s good. But if it’s not, I’m sorry but I will not recommend it to my followers as I want the best for them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Sharing your own views and thoughts makes it original and of high quality because only you can feel it that way.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Fostering a mutual understanding with the brand and get to know more about their products.
