1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m currently working for a leading uk skincare company alongside managing my social media handles. I’ve always been obsessed with makeup and fashion so I thought I’d share what I love with a wider audience.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love creating makeup looks and posting fashion looks, and selfies on my Instagram. I love posting them all equally. It’s all great fun.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Although I love to be glam with all the fancy clothes, hair and makeup, I always feel that I’m still always going to be just simply me. So I combined that motto with my name ‘Jess’ to become jesssimplyme!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Square Edit and line camera are my favourites. They’re nice and easy to use and free too!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Graciefvictory inspires me as a fellow influencer from the uk, it’s nice to see a fellow plus size women of colour doing her thing. jayversace Is so real and his videos never fail to make me laugh out loud. There are so many others who inspire me in different ways but there’s way too many to mention.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Everyone should try living fearlessly and see how their lives change.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to communicate with literally anybody and everybody. I get really sweet dm’s which I love. I used to be really shy so it’s nice to communicate with so many people now.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I will only recommend products on my page which I really like. I think that’s how you stay authentic.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Try and be creative. Go to as many different scenery so as possible. And most importantly enjoy it! After all it’s nothing with the fun.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love trying out new products, as I’m a total product junkie. That for me is the best perk.
