Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jeremy Clyde @ijeremyclyde

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Jeremy Clyde. I’m a 19 year old blogger who specializes on men’s fashion and lifestyle. I post videos every Monday on my Youtube channel. It ranges from fashion, lifestyle, covers, and original song videos (Mostly gear more towards fashion/lifestyle). I was born in the Philippines, but I moved to the United States in 2010. WOW, that sounded so formal haha.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest is mainly men’s fashion and lifestyle. It is also what I usually post on my Instagram.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Back then, I started getting into the “Apple” world! I had an android back then but once I bought my first iPhone, I was influenced by the “i” in the beginning and decided to put it on the front of my name. It’s actually quite weird now that I think about it. But yes, that was when “ijeremyclyde” was born! TADAAA!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Throughout the years of constantly downloading plethora of editing apps and editing pictures, I had found 2 of my favorite editing apps which are VSCO CAM and Photoshop Fix. Both are free, intuitive, and overall worth the download. I highly recommend it! Explaining it would be a NOVEL, so I suggest going to my youtube channel as I posted a video on “How I Edit My Instagram Photos” 😉

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I have quite a few Instagrammers who I absolutely adore. Some are my friends but mainly @imdrewscott and @lucafersko; Their Instagram theme and overall aesthetic resonates with me. I get really inspired by minimal and monochromatic feeds.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They should probably text someone they love “I love you.”

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

AHH!! So many to say! I would say that my favorite part is being able to ACTUALLY inspire others. I would get DM’s and comments from my audience saying that I’ve inspired them and that they look up to me…I get happy when I read those, like, THANK YOU and YAY IM GLAD, you know?
Another thing is getting the chance to know other influencers who has the same motive as me. Most of my friends that I have right now I have met online. Very talented individuals who also happen to be influencers!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

A few tips that I have is finding the right influencers for your campaign and build relationships with the influencers who’s working with you. Trust me, I’ve went above and beyond to brands who made effort to have some type of relationship with me. Sometimes, influencers like me would be do the extra mile to expose your campaign even though you didn’t ask for it. I’ve did it a couple of times and it was just because “why not?” I love the brand and they were nice to me.
Maintaining authenticity is working with brands whom you genuinely like. Avoid working with brands just for the coins; That’s fake.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is always important than quantity. Personally, I’d stay subscribed or on alert from an influencer who always put out quality and original content rather than someone who does not care at all.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being able to build relationship with brands. Fun fact, I’m friends with a couple of marketing coordinators of the brands I work with!
