Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: J-Iz @jizmusic4u

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is J-Iz. I am an aspiring singer & songwriter from Orange, TX (right before you get into Louisiana). I have been doing music & songwriting since 2005. Inspired by some of the greats like the late Michael Jackson & Usher, I strive to bring my passion into every written lyric, every note sung & every time I set foot in front of an audience. It’s my drive & determination that guides my focus in the right direction.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Well, it started off as just getting people to listen to my music or to follow me. But as time has passed & as I’ve matured into the man I am today, I try to post more inspiring posts to motivate you from your core. Or to make you laugh depending on the situation. You never know who might need motivation or encouragement or even a good laugh. So I try to accommodate & speak to the heart & mind of a person. Being a people person plus understanding the intellectual side of people has helped me reach out to people worldwide. It’s an incredible feeling.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It just came to me one day. I wasn’t thinking about it at all. I was thinking about my music & who I make it for. My fans & supporters. So I decided to create something that says I makeusic for my fans. That is where "jizmusic4u" comes from. The love & support for my fans & supporters. I love them more than they know!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mostly use the filters & editing software on IG or my phone. Sometimes I use "Pics Art" or"Photo Editor" when I want to create something unique. But it all depends on the person that’s editing the pics. Everyone has their own preference that works for them. I’m always interested in how others edit their pics though.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Usher has always been an inspiration to me. The guy is a musical genius! If I could reach even a small portion of his greatness, that would be an incredible accomplishment in my life & career. Also, Brian Angel, 1/5 member from the Platinum recording group "Day 26"! He has been an influence & an inspiration on my career, especially as of lately. He is an incredible artist & a very brilliant songwriter.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Living happily with no worries & no stress. If you could try it one day out of the week & work your way up until it is a daily part of your routine, you’ll start to see the world in a different way. Less stress, less problems, more happiness, more love! Trust me, it is an incredible feeling! I love it!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

All of the incredible people that think & live like you but walk their own path the way they see it. The interaction between them & I is an amazing feeling. People are so interesting & regardless of how much I influence people, the influence & knowledge I receive back is so inspiring. I learn from them as much as they learn from me.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be original & stay relevant! As long as you do those things & engage your target audience while reaching those who like similar products, you’ll do fine. Incredible visuals & great promotion doesn’t hurt your chances either. Just being as understanding as possible, most of these things are common sense if you prep, engage & execute your plan of action.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Relevancy & catching the consumer within the first 10 – 15 seconds max! Attention spans do not change as much from a toddler to an adult. So target your audience & execute your plan to perfection quickly!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It gives you a chance to reach audiences you never could by yourself. And you know never know, you might engage with someone who could possibly help you reach a pinnacle in your career you never had even thought of! Plus, it’s great for marketing! I enjoy it on so many levels!
