Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Hue Chiau Yieng @chiauyieng

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Chiau Yieng, 18 this year and I’m just graduated from Confucian Private Secondary School. Now, I’m waiting for Uni instake on next year. I’m from Kuala Lumpur, live at Subang Jaya.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested on fashion looks, so I often look back to those popular person on Instagram, like Lucaslau, Muachiiii, Anerlyfang, Blancochoo etc. I post my outfit on Instagram, and also post my friendship goals to let all of my followers know that I have a branch of friends and we appreciate our friendships.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I use my name (which is Chiau Yieng) on my Instagram username. Why I choose my name to become my Instagram username, it is because my friends or others people can might be easily find me on Instagram. The other reason is because I don’t have any nickname or surname. So… I made it easy la! Haha

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use VSCO and Snapseed to edit my photos. I love this two apps because they doesn’t compromise on the quality after editing!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love fashion, so I got a lot of inspiration from some Instagrammer. I learn some outfit looks from Anerlyfang, Muachiiii, Lariestanx and more. The most inspired me on Instagram is Janechuck. She has a lot of pictures show me that everyone can be pretty and everyone can pose nicely although we are fat or slim.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I will be happy on it. I’m happy that my fellow can be chosen and everyone will know she / he while using this app!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

If I can be the one who influence somebody, I will let them know although we don’t have a perfect look or body, we also can take a lot of beautiful photos. Because I don’t have a perfect look and body, I have baby fat and I don’t have double eyelid. I’m quite look down myself when I was small, but now I inspired by some Instagrammers and I want to inspire more and more person who have same feeling as me.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My top tips to brands for running campaigns are Cahrles & Keith, H&M, Prada, Nike and so on. I usually get those news via email and their official accounts.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I will advice those people to be a kind and responsible person on the importance of quality and original content. Some of people won’t reply message when they realised that they didn’t know you. For me, I will reply all of the message although we are a stranger.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like best about partnering with brands is some sponsorship from Instagram’s online shop.
