Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Gina Zammit @ginazammit

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a travel writer, blogger, and video host, but New York City will always be home.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post pictures and videos (with my new Snap Spectacles) mostly of my travels around the world, and also of my daily life when I’m not on the road.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

From my parents 😉 I love my name because it’s so unique. My dad is from Malta, and Zammit is a very common name in the country.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Unum to map out my feed before posting, and use the in-app editor in Instagram, as well as Retouch, ColorStory, and Facetune is great for bringing out the the background elements.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love fellow traveler, @court_scott’s stunning photos of her adventures, as well as the idyllic New England charm showcased in @sarahkjp and @kjp’s accounts, and @carly for sharing some of my favorite spots in Connecticut.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Instagram Stories.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with people all around the world, and having a creative outlet for my photographs.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Only work with brands you truly stand behind. Followers can always detect Indifference or if you’re being fake — that’s selling out.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Be yourself. Cliché for sure, but no one is going to have the same exact aesthetic or eye as you, and you should celebrate that.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love discovering new products that help make life easier, and sharing them with my followers.
