Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Georgina Rachel Kwan @lockedeepdown

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m from Singapore and currently working as a cabin crew, travelling around and looking at beautiful things such as afashion, architecture and designs.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are fasion, design, architecture, arts, food, nature, beauty and my loved ones. I post things like food, nature, architecture, selfies and my loved ones.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It was when my ex-boyfriend was about to enter national service to serve the nation. I heard many heartbreaks when the guys entered the army and their girl left them, leaving them at their ‘lowest point’ in army life. I was afraid of being one of them, so i told myself to ‘lock my heart’. That’s how “lockedeepdown” came about. It also means to keep your love, loyalty and faith in things and people you love and not forget about them, in your heart.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO, Afterlight, Over and Fused!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I like Chriselle Lim, Jenn im, Aimee Song (Song of Style), Q2han, Eugenie Grey, Jeanne Grey! All of them. Like i feel so connected whenever i scroll thru their feed!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think they should try to love themselves for who they are! Not be someone their not.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I think to be able to let people know that they should be who they are and be happy!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

They should do it in a way to educate people and to connect with people. With good cause. To maintain it, they should not feel inferior to one another. Should do what they believe in.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Being original is important as people want to know you and not slamming you for what you made up to be when you’re not.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It is to get the first hand of trying out their products and getting people to know about them.
