Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Fauzi Jafferi @fauzijafferi

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Fauzi and will be turning 23 as of 11 August this year. I’m currently serving my National Servicemen with the Singapore Civil Defence Force as a Medical Instructor who goes around Singapore bringing awareness to the public members about emergency preparedness. With that said, I’m born and raised in Singapore as a happy and bubbly little guy. I’m all about positivity and being adventurous at times but I do have my shy and introvert side when it comes to being sociable, nevertheless I’m extremely friendly. 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I live and breath fashion, anything related to that topic interests me to the core of my body. If we’re talking designs, styling, branding, photoshoots, fashion events even shopping then I’m all ears! And considering myself as a Fashion Enthusiast, I post fashion advices, ‘OOTDs’, promotions and occasional designs/illustrastions etc. on my instagram to get people’s attention and also to have them realise that theres more to fashion then just labels and looking good. Having this instagram account is also a way of me ‘making my mark’ in the industry before fully venturing out to having my own label.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Simple enough! I always dreamed of having my own fashion label which is self-named. so FAUZI JAFFERI being my name is how my instagram name come about.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The apps I use are mainly VSCO (of course!) then theres Snapped and PicsArt. I would usually pick out my filter from VSCO, personal favourite is A6 from the Aesthetic series, before tweaking its brightness and contrast a little. If it needs a little fine tuning, i’ll move on to using Snapseed for their selective adjustments. I mainly edit the backgrounds with this app also to clean up the photo of its blemishes. Then VOILA! its pretty much instagram-worthy after.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Im inspired by individuals who has the same interest/passion as me. dreachong, darylaiden, arthurxaleksander, patrickpankalla, hayden williams just to name a few. Of course I have my favourite fashion designers whom I constantly keep up to date with to see whats buzzing in the fashion world.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would say put themselves out there and dress boldly and comfortably. Break the norm with fashion, who says you can’t be stylish while still looking perfectly normal.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Knowing that somewhere out there people appreciate the work and input I gave. When I have friends coming to me for advice I take it that they trust me with giving them feedbacks which will benefit them. I try to the best of my ability to do so.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

First is to give the brand the most credit you could possibly give. Research on the brand fully to make sure you know what you’re running for. Then of course reach out to the people whom you think would be very much interested in the brand.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Know the content well and write from personal experiences.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to help market or give the brand more exposure is something I like best because then I realise a handful of people out there are still not aware of whats happening. Apart from that if I’m able to build some kind of relationship with a brand then thats a connection I could use in the future to help run my own brand.
