Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: evine mikalsen @wannabemakeupslut

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 19 year old student currently studying Cultural Sciences at the University of Bergen in Norway. Since I am a full time bachelor student, I spend a lot of my time studying and a lot of time procrastinating on the internet.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love fashion and makeup. I started my IG to make myself feel better. Self love is a big thing for me and that is what I try to focus on. If I feel good about myself and how I look I’ll post a picture.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is Wannabemakeupslut. That is because im currently doing makeup for free, but in the future I would like to get paid for it, having it be my full time job.”wannabe” is because Im trying my best but Im not there yet.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I try to keep editing to a minimum. But if I do its small things like fixing the lighting and removing an acne or two.
I use the app “Meitu” to edit the photos, and “NoCrop” to crop them so they’ll fit in with my page theme.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I am a big fan of male MUA’s on IG at the moment. They are so inspirational. Some of my favourits are MannyMUA, Bambiborg, lasse_brogaard and guillermoartistry.
My favourit woman is Dajanamakeup because I have met her in person. She was really nice and had a genuin interest in talking to me, she also such an inspiration.I also love hollie_fx , _missbo , wolfiecindy and feliciaaveklew.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Its hard to say really. Honestly, the one thing I feel everyone needs to try isn’t really a product, its a state of mind. Everyone should try to love themselves. Thats the most important thing for me, and its something we need more of in our society.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I can make an impact on someones life. I have the ability to reach out to my followers and give them advice, tips and tricks. And its a nice feeling that someone are there with me when Im having a hard time.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be genuin. Try to be as real as possible and connect with your following. Get people to engage and you need to have fun doing it.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People care about what they see and read. You wouldn’t want to follow a bunch of accounts posting about the same thing over and over again. Its more fun to follow and engage with someone who posts a lot of creative, new and genuin content.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to experiment with new companies, I get to try new products and I get to share my opinion about it. Im honest on my page, I don’t lie to my followers, so if I post something about a new product i testing out they know that i probably not lying.
