Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Estelle McLellan @thisgirlshines

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 21 year old photographer, writer, blogger, singer and creative fashionista living near Vancouver on the West Coast of Canada. I recently moved from England (where I lived for 18 years) to Canada to be with a wonderful Canadian guy that I fell in love with! I am now living here and enjoying exploring everything new to do with fashion, lifestyle and fun!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion, lifestyle, health, accessories, home decor.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My friends used to describe me as a magpie- a shiny, glittery person. I’ve been on a journey in my life, and through the ups and downs I look for the things that make me glow and shine. This girl shines, and so can you.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I love pic-tap-go – I like bringing out the colours and making them bright and beautiful.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love trying new things and sharing amazing products and styles with people. I love how it opens my eyes and in turn I can open other people’s eyes. I love collaborating and being creative and meeting new people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

– I will only post about things I truly believe in
– I keep my photos real and beautiful
– I am myself
– I have high standards

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

This is extremely important! Nobody wants a boring feed that they’ve seen a million times before. It’s important to stand out and be fresh and different. It’s important to be you and share what you believe in!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being able to try new things and share it with my followers. I love the relationship I have with some brands I’ve worked with – it’s a long term thing and I’ve met some amazing people!
