1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 17 year old fashion & lifestyle blogger from South Africa. The first time I picked up a camera was when I was 8 years old. That was when my passion for photography started. Fashion has also always been a major part of who I am. As I grew up, I started photographing myself and that’s when my passion for fashion and lifestyle blogging blossomed. I started my blog on Instagram about a year and a half ago and today I am one of the most followed Instagrammers in my country.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion and Lifestyle. And also a little bit of travel.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I have evolved so much from that 8 year old boy who was fascinated by a canon dslr to who I am today and I am still evolving every day. I strive to always better myself and evolve into the best version of myself. That’s how evolvingelnino came about. Its almost as if my Instagram is a diary or photo journal documenting my evolution.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Snapseed, Facetune and VSCOcam to edit my pictures. I don’t really believe in using one filter for every picture. I want my feed to be more authentic. So I prefer to edit the pictures so that my feed is cohesive, using various filters now and then, but mostly just random editing tools based on the picture.

Invest in a good camera.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

You get to do what you love and inspire people and create art while doing it.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Involve influencers who are aligned with the brand. Be professional and pleasurable to work with. Develop a good relationship with the influencers you work with.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Always be original. Originality is key in blogging. There are so many other bloggers who are trying to do the exact thing. So many people who call themselves influencers, even though they don’t really deserve that title. So the only way you’ll stick out and actually be noticed for what you’re doing is if you’re original and creative with your content. Also, quality is VERY important. Brands will only work with you if your content is of impeccable quality.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The exposure you get from it. It is also good for your career as an influencer as it helps build your resumé. Also, the benefits like the gifts and products you receive as well as being paid to simply do what you love.
