Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Elnaz Mansouri @elnaz555

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a Toronto-based visual artist graduated from OCAD University. I immigrated to Canada with my family in 2003 from Iran, and photography was one of the strongest ways of connecting to the new environment I was introduced to. It has been more than 10 years that I am practicing photography and nature is a mirror to my identity.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel, Landscape, and Portrait

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

The hour 5:55 means a lot to me, and that’s why my username is elnaz555.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I edit raw images in Photoshop, and then give them a final touch in VSCO.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

alexstrohl, ovors

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I use an app called Preview to make sure how my gallery looks when I upload a new photo. I think it’s very important to have an overall unified gallery so that when visitors scroll through your page, they want to see more of your work.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

An a visual artist, I am always striving to find exposure for my work and as an influencer, I feel I have the power to introduce lesser known artists that deserve that recognition.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I once read somewhere that “They can imitate your style, but the can’t imitate your passion.” I truly believe in this quote and I am sure that the audience can feel if a brand is passionate about something or they are just a clone of another brand.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Looking through Instagram’s Explore page makes you realize how images are becoming very typical and originality is harder to find these days. When I see something to photograph, I always think, has this angle been already shot? How is my picture different from someone else’s work?

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Working with different brands allows me to think outside the box and push my creativity on developing new ideas, which makes me grow as an artist.
