Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Cédric Viaene @viaenecedric

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m travelling the world while making content wherever we go. I’m from Belgium. Planning to travel through Asia at the moment. I’m 20 years old. I’m also a personal trainer and love to workout!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love travelling and my biggest interest are tropical vibes. Travel different islands. Different countries and get to know people all around the world. I basically post pictures of myself while I travel and make it like a “journey” so I really get my followers involved too!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I really wanted to make travel content so I made up an account on instagram. The main goal is to engage with my followers.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I edit all my photos with lightroom on my macbook. They’re all taken with a Canon 6D Mark II 35 mm. Editing my photos usually takes 30 min to like an hour each photo. So, I’m really taking this seriously!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Sam Kolder, Jay Alvarrez, Jon Olsson.
Jay Alvarrez is definitely my favourite, for sure!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to engage more with their followers. I feel like that’s so important. Do the things they love and share it with their audience.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Get to know brands all around the world and connect. Make a living out of this which in my opinion would be the greatest gift ever. That would be a dream. 🙂

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Engage with the people that buy your brand. Set goals. Know your audience. Build relationships with journalists. Distribute wisely. Write an exceptional press release..

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is obviously the most important part of the content you share with your audience. That’s why I always use a good camera and retain my quality with lightroom when I edit. To get the most out of your content it has to be original so people actually love the message you’re trying to share with them.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Engagement. Get to know the brands better. Benefit from both sides. Get exposure.
