Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ellie McCarthy @vegan.living_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Ellie and I’m from a town near Manchester in the UK. I am currently studying Travel Studies at College.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m a vegan, so most of what I post on Instagram is vegan related, this includes: food, cruelty-free beauty products and skincare, and occasional animal rights posts.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name came about when I was searching through other vegan Instagram usernames for inspiration. I decided vegan living in the end as it’s simple and hopefully something that people recognise and can find easily when searching.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I like the app Aviary to edit my photos as I don’t do much to them and this just adds a little boost of colour or whatever to make it look more presentable for Instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@earthlingmaxi, @henyamania and @ellenfisher are definitely some of my main inspirations! They have such great content on their feeds and post new things all the time.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Being vegan! (If they aren’t already of course)

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like connecting with people on Instagram and seeing what they like to use and see how they find things that I might recommend etc.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think the main tip which I’d give everyone is always to remain honest about the products, because this is going to give the best results. I’d also do as much research about the product as possible so you can give a really detailed explanation to followers and other people so they know exactly what they’re buying and if it would work for them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I’d say it’s important as it keeps your followers interested, if you keep posting unoriginal content followers can get bored and look elsewhere for it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like trying the products myself and giving my followers an honest opinion and hoping they try it themselves.
