Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Del Ro @AaronDelRo

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Aaron Del Rosario a.k.a. "Del Ro", I was born and raised in the county of Dade (Miami, FL). I am an event producer and host. I started an event coordination and talent booking company, Double A Management in 2013 during my junior year at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. Since then I have organized and hosted events across the country and at times the World.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are sports, travel, entertainment and celebrities. On my Instagram, I mostly post about positive things, upcoming events, pictures from past events and quality time with my friend as well as family. A good portion of my posts give my perspective of the various places that I travel to as well as insight to the energy and crowds at some of the events that I host.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name derived from the longing to identify with both sides of the person I am. When I was in high school, some of my teammates on the basketball team began calling me "Del Ro", a derivative of my last name which soon became a nickname. As I moved onto college basketball, the nickname followed me and began to notice that quite a few people did not truly know my actual first name. As I broke into the industry in 2013, I began to notice that people called me Del Ro within entertainment circles as well. Del Ro became my industry name and host personality at that point but I wanted to make my Instagram page a mixture of both. Hence the Instagram name : AaronDelRo. There are two sides of me, some people know Aaron and truly know me, others know the guy on stage or at the forefront of an event, Del Ro.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Layouts to edit some photos, I also use the photos app from time to time to edit. My photo editing routine is rather simple, my main goal is visibility. Most often I really want to make sure that my followers see the most important aspect of the photo as clearly as possible. I brighten some images or sharpen them to ensure that I’m posting clear photos.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like several instagrammers, for example @laurenblakelyhunt. I really enjoy her perspective while she travels, she is taking advantage of her ability to travel freely. @dwaynewade is another instagrammer that I really like. His posts are extremely motivational and positive, it also helps that he is my favorite NBA player.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If there is one thing that my fellow Instagrammers have to try, its definitely traveling to a random city that you haven’t been to. For no reason at all, just spontaneously plan a trip and go explore. So many of us simply become watchers, especially on Instagram. Move beyond simply liking other’s images and commenting "I wish I could….". Go and explore, its excellent for your mind, body and soul.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is interacting with a vast variety of people. Being an influencer allows me to gain so much perspective from people from all different places and walks of life. The ability to learn first hand from others via my influence is priceless. I also enjoy being able to make a positive impact using my influence, whether that is with a few people or an entire community.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Some of my top tips to brands that are running campaigns are: (1.) Be true to the culture. (2.) Research the true meaning of culture. (3.) Remain unique and tailored, people respect brand identity. (4.) This generation truly likes branded events and parties. Develop some events and come interact with us. (5.) Do not forget the importance of a personal touch and loyalty element. At our roots, everyone wants to feel supported.
You maintain authenticity by avoiding forced actions, move with the culture while still being consistent with your brand. Too many brands end up following trends or hopping on something because its perceived to be "hot" and end up losing the engagement of a lot of people.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and original content are vital to consistently engaging people. Images and content overall that are aesthetically pleasing grab the attention of an audience initially, the originality of the content is what keeps their attention. Quality content is also appreciated by an audience, people can normally tell the difference between levels of quality. Non original content is often ignored or discarded, you may lose that audience for good.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

What I like the best about partnering with brands is the ability to become a bridge between the brand and target audience that they are trying to reach. It is empowering and satisfying to connect people as well as brands with other that can be beneficial to them. I also truly enjoy producing events for brands that I partner with. Lastly, I do truly appreciate the products, gifts and sense of accomplishment that comes with partnering with brands.
