Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Crystal @Tamatal

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Crystal, an independent financial advisor working mainly in Hong Kong and China. I am also a freelance model, actress, host and a blogger. I currently started my own online business which cooperate with many international brands and have our own products. I born and grown in Hong Kong which is an international city where everyone have a very rush life. I may participate in the fourth beauty pageant to represent Hong Kong again in the coming October.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I really enjoy food, dinning and travelling. From the small stores on the street which sell snacks to fine dining restaurants, they all share different stories to you. I really love travel the world and explore their different culture.The content that I share most of the time are my life experience s such as where I have been, what I have ate, some photoshoots/ videos/ movie clips that I have participated.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name tamatal come from a mix of my name Crystal and Tamama, one of the main character of a Japanese animation Keroro Gunsō.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The inside build in function of Instagram, foodie app, vsco, pitu, snapseed, photogenic are all some apps that I used for the photos that I post on Instagram while Flipagram or meipai are two apps that I will use for videos. Need to remove the people or stuff that irrelevant to my picture first. Then I need to remove the pimples, dark circles on my face if my status is not good on that day. After that I will apply the filter apps that I mentioned above. Lastly, I will tune the brightness, contrast, saturation before posting it on Instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Shamshirley, liliankan, lorenridinger are three of the Instagrammers that I really like and Loren is really a successful entrepreneur that really inspires me.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Some live videos.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

You can have a chance to explore the world and spread the positive to the world. There are so many people who are suffering at the moment, at least my story may encourage them.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Provide some good photographers that can help to shot at the events/ campaigns and send out some trials for the guests they invited. There are so many influence rs given out good reviews without trying it and the audience actually have crystal clear eyes.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Try to have your own style instead of following the trend. Read more books and do more research before you post.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I will know the latest trend and can try their latest products. The interesting workshops that they provide us.
