Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Clarize @Clingclingchan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi! I am Clarize and Living in Hawaii. I am originally from the Philippines but already moved here last year. I am an Online influencer and the platform that I am focusing right now is Instagram. I just came back from my 1 week travel. I went to Seattle and Los Angeles this week. I had a really great experience, so now I am already planning for my next trip.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I usually post sceneries, mostly outdoors picture. More of like an ocean view since i Live in a tropical Island. I usually upload high buildings as well and interesting stuff that I have.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I always wanted my name to be cute. So since I’m from asia and a real fan of Japan. I think the easier the username, the easier to remember thats why I choose my nickname which is clingcling, and just added chan to make it sounds cute.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use Snap seed to expose the part of the pic that needs light. I also use afterlight and ofcourse the very famous VSCOcam. I edit my pic in snap seed first them import it to Vscocam and use 1 filter, then transfer to camera roll and use one more filter to make it unique. So Im basically using 2 filters of vscocam on my pictures.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

The instagram that inspire me the most are, the traveller or always with the travel photo such as compassguru, polkadotpassport, sjanaelise, lyssielooloo, kryzzzie, tgosintian, xx.clarissangunawan, jesych and for the lifestyle or other interesting stuff i love bellakuan, vivid, farrahespina, ingrid.chann, stellalowis, michellewinny, nadzlustre and many more

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think they should try to travel more often. I believe that The more I travel, the more I see lots of new things and makes me realize how big the world is. The more I see new places, the more my soul feels very light and full.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My most favorite part of being an influencer is that, I can show to people my experieces as a normal person. Show the different side of my world to everyone and inspire them to always go somewhere that is actually new to them. Try lots of different cultures and diversity.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I believe that choosing your platform for running campaigns are very important. Its important to know your market as well. Focus and working hard with the trending platforms with the correct viewers or market will make you go up. I maintain authenticity by always knowing the roots of the brand or the style of the feed. Always stick to the old one yet, always think of a modern or new style.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

quality and original content are both important esp on instagram. Those two explains and show what kind of an influencer I can be. I advice that people should always be true, and always check the quality and uniqueness. Never ever use photos that is not yours. Remember, there are eyes everywhere online. Try to create your own signature and surely, lots of people will gonna recognize your style and itll make you a good influencer.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I feel like I am unique and I’m an interesting person, enough for them to trust me to be a brandpartner. I always love to showoff stuff even in the simpliest way.
