Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Cindy chen @xxxcindyc

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an 18 year old Malaysian girl who has just entered Sunway College. I’ve chosen MUFY programe as I would love to further my education in Australia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love to talk about outfits, what’s trendy right now, new cafes and observe the style of people who catch my attention. I often post about my daily life style and outfits on my Instagram most of the time.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

If I’m not mistaken, I think I got inspiration from G-Dragon. (I know, don’t judge !)

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I normally use VSCO Cam to adjust the lighting and effects. I like my photos to be a lil cooler tone. I love my photos to be clean too so I’ll use Pixlr to whiten some of the backgrounds.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I would say JaneChuck. I admire her since four years ago, while she was just a blogger. I just love the way she dresses herself up, casual but fashionable, which is my go-to-style. And I love it when she shares the musics she’s been listening to, I believe music plays a big role in her life, and my life, of course.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I wish I can turn off the Instagram stories haha, I don’t really like it I gotta be honest.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I don’t call myself an influencer but I guess I’m just being myself and if people find that interesting and influencing, that’s great because I got to help some people out there. Especially those who always think they are alone and no one to talk to, I just wanna say they’re not alone, I’m here

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be inspired by everything around you.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I guess there’s no point of trying so hard to be someone else and forget who you truly are. It’s important to be yourself, don’t duplicate and follow. Everyone shines in their own way.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to learn more about the brands and try something that I might not done before.
