Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Christina Advincula @tinadvincula_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an Editorial Manager by title but a creative at heart. I’m writer-editor-manager from Manila who makes stories out of photos from my travels, food, and people I’m with. I’m a workaholic but I value my #breakfromwork by immersing myself in art found in social media.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Anything travel-related, honestly. I may not be on the move right now but I make it a point to discover new places within my own country. May it be food, buildings, and even dogs!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well, it’s nothing special, really. It’s just my name. But behind that name is a woman full of stories to tell through photos.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Snapseed and VSCO cam are the only apps I use to edit. If I don’t get the results I want from those 2 apps, I don’t post the photo.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@cupofcouple’s captions and photos are all fun and interesting. In terms of what aesthetic, @kimcamjones’ photos are what I take inspiration from. Her content’s more on fashion but she travels a lot , and every travel photo she posts are soooo lust-worthy.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Not to be super feed-conscious. Go with the flow of life every once in a while.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

That I get support from people all over the world.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Give your chosen influencers a chance to express their own thoughts on your products. Give them that freedom and they will love working with you and your product even more.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Original content doesn’t come easy but when you are able to produce it, the results are overwhelming. It’s better for your followers to wait for that great content after a week or so rather than having the see something mediocre every day.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like that I get to know the people behind the brand as we work together. That makes the experience with their products more meaningful and authentic.
