Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Brenda de la Rocha @bdelarouge

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 17 year old girl. I am Mexican, and live in Guadalajara, Jal. I am studying business, and later on I plan to study fashion. I love to travel and mix & match clothes to get super cool outfits! I like to learn new things as often as I can, right now I’m learning how to sew and taking classes of Italian. I love sports, I play golf, soccer, and used to play basketball. I like meeting new people, and seeing things from different points of view, I’m very open minded and extroverted.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I looooove fashion, everything from it, since the way the different colours match each other, the procces of how the clothes are sewn, the mixing and matching different styles, colors, textures, and the result of it. I also love traveling, but not do that so often so when I have chances to I like posting photos of cool outfits on cool places while I am on a trip. Mostly my feed I try to make it just about different outfits I wear, they are really casual, but with a ton of style, because they are what I really wear on the day-to-day, while I go to school, while I travel, while I am with friends or family, etc.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well from long ago I had been wanting to became a fashion blogger, but I was to shy to give it a try. This year I convinced myself that if I wanted it so much I would have to go for it, so I started thinking what a good name would be, and I remebered the way my friends play with my last name and call me, so instead of de la Rocha it became de la Rouge and placed a B at the beginning because of my first name, and Ta Da! There you have my Instagram name and blog’s name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Well, usually if I just want to place some filters and stuff like that I use Afterlight, but sometimes I like to draw like an outline of me to make pop and outfit so I use PicsArt, or sometimes I just adjust the light and saturation in the Instagram App.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I would have to say that I am really really inspired everysingle day by 2 fashion bloggers, Chiara Ferragni and Pam Allier, they are super different from each other, but I absolutely love their work and dream about being like them someday.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think, that they should try to find their passion, to just enjoy everyday what they really love, to incorporate it to their daily life even if it is just a moment, I swear it would make you to feel better, happier and will make your day brighter and shinier, and who doesn’t wants to feel that way?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Since I was little, I always dreamed about making the world better, and I thought that for that I would have to become like a super professional on something like a scientist or an engineer, but I discovered that when you are happy and make your own world better you can spread that happiness and joy to more people, and that people to more people so it becomes bigger and bigger, and I think that way you can just make the world better, in your own way, doing what you really love, showing the world, and empowering everybody else to do what the love too.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think that it would be to choose the influencers that match totally with the product on campaign, to choose people that would really love it so they can be totally authentic with their opinion about it. Well authenticity is something that I try to keep just doing things no so planned, and most when I feel like doing something I do it, more in an spontaneous way because thats how I am, my personality is to not plan things, I don’t like doing it.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think is very important to be yourself, and try to proyect the way you truly are and to literally own every single post, to fulfill it with your personality and passion.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think it is to try new stuff and being able to recommend it to people, like when you really like for example a dress because it has an awesome print, and it is super comfy, and its just perfect, I would like more people could experience that and be as happy as I am.
