Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Audrey Wise @realaudreywise

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello! My name is Audrey. I’m a wife and mother with a love for makeup. I live in a small town in Idaho where I’m a stay at home mother raising my 1 year old son, and waiting on our little girl who is due March 2017. I first got into makeup through YouTube and I’ve decided that I want to pursue the makeup world. I hope to someday start my own makeup channel and join the makeup community.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topic of interest is makeup. I post pictures of my makeup on my Instagram and I’m beginning to post pictures everyday. I want to start a YouTube channel in the near future and talk to my audience about makeup products.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted an Instagram make that was simple so I could use it for YouTube in the future. A simple name is easy for people to remember so they can type it in and come back to it. Realaudreywise is just my name with the word real in front of it. I want my audience to know that I’m always going to be real with them about my opinions.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I never edit my photos. The only thing I do to my photos is maybe put a couple of them in a collage. I try my best to talk all of my pictures in natural lighting so people can see the real product without any editing.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like Kathleenlights. I like a couple other makeup Instagrammers but none as much as her. I feel like she is the most real with her audience and doesn’t flaunt around all of the money she makes.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would highly recommend the NYX glitter glue and glitter. I just recently started experimenting with glitter and I absolutely love it. I feel as though every makeup girl should get a glitter in their favorite color and give it a try. Plus NYX cosmetics is my favorite drugstore makeup brand.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I want people to know that I’m always honest about all of the products that I use. My favorite part about being an influencer is inspiring other people to try new makeup looks. I want people to look at my pictures and know that I will always comment back to them, so they know that I’m actually listening to what they say.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Brands need to be more aware of their consumers. The best part of a brand is knowing that they care about the people that are buying their products. Because without the consumer the brand would be nothing. You maintain authenticity by always commenting back to your customers and letting them know that you hear them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is so important to be authentic with your photos and how your interact with your audience. I really wish more people would make a better effort to let their audience know that they listen to what they say. It is also very important to think of your own ideas when it comes to a series that you do regarding pictures of the week or something similar.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I have never partnered with a brand before, but I would absolutely love to. There would be nothing more exciting to me then having a brand trust me to review their product. I would love to have the opportunity to tell the world why that product is so good.
