Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Asia Crawford @frugalandfrills_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a wife and mother of two sweet girls. Right now I have really pursued my blogging as a side hustle on top of being a busy mom and working one day a week secularity. I was born and raised in a small town in British Columbia Canada but have been settled in Vancouver Canada now for 5 years.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Motherhood, Frugal Lifestyle (budgeting tips) and Blogging strategies. I have grown from 0 to over 11.3K followers in just a year. My blog has really taken off, i’ve landed lots of high paying brand partnerships and was awarded as one of Vancouvers Top 30 Mom blogger of 2019

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I tried to think of something that meshed with having little girls and being budget oriented. I have always considered myself to be “Frugal” and then thought of something cute that would work with that and I thought about the “thrills and spills” in motherhood and then it came to me… FRILLS, because girly things are frilly.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use a preset and I use Adobe Lightroom CC. Super easy to use and quick. I take a photo on my Canon camera, upload it to my computer. Send it over to my iPhone, import it into lightroom and apply the preset. I usually take one minute to do some adjusting of the preset and that’s it!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Jenna Kutcher is my number one Insta inspiration! We live similar lives i feel like. Both very entrepreneurial and mothers trying to help other woman out, spread kindness etc…

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If you want to make a business out of instagram you HAVE to know the strategies. Either research it yourself constantly, or learn it from the people who are doing it !

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with like minded mama’s! It’s crazy the connections you can have with people all over the world, just because we have a few similar things in common and click.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Don’t just give in to everything they ask of you and want. Take time to leverage with them. To express how YOU think it would best resonate with your audience. After all, we know our audience better and we are trying to help market there brand. I think letting a brand know you want freedom to express the product in an organic way to your audience is key to having it stick with people.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Take it seriously!! No brand will look at you or want work with you if your content is not your own and its not quality. You only have a split second to capture someone’s attention, especially a brand you want to work with! Always remember quality over quantity.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Just learning about new products and what the message is behind the product. I have worked with brands where there mission was to help starving children and donate a box of food to a child in need and i LOVE getting behind that and supporting that.
