Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ariff Imran @ariffromeo

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hey I am Ariff Imran, 24 years old. my Instagram account @ariffromeo is my main platform for sharing my best conceptual photography obsession. I am a final year degree student in Software Engineering, a freelance wedding and art photographer. I was born in Terengganu, Malaysia (MY) and staying in Kuala Lumpur. My passion is about taking good pictures and having OCD about good deep meaning arts combined with perfect composition and framing. I aim to have X-factor in all my tken picture.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I posted a lot of conceptual/surrealism photography. Its a mixed of well balanced composition, framing, putting subject/peoples inside it with suitable mood, cinematic color and last but not lease, deep meaning in every of it.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My IG name is actually my photography business name. It was 6 years ago when I started my photography world and found ‘romeo’ rhymes well with my first surname which is ‘ariff’. Thats how ‘ariffromeo’ came.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My fav photo app are VSCO CAM, Snapseed, Glitche and Mextures. My routine were simple, I take a shoot from my DSLR/film camera/Iphone and transport the pictures in my Iphone to start editing. Proceed with Snapseed to adjust correct color balance, exposure and export to VSCO. When it comes to final touch, somtimes I use Mextures or Glitche to add some secret x-factor into it

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love Alex Stoddard (IG/Flickr) and Tommy Oshima (IG/Flickr). They are my inspiration.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I say do photography that peoples did not do. Plus join me with conceptual and surrealism photography!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Its not a lie when peoples really adores your art, your heart becomes flutter and excited to produce more excellent arts.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I have Happy Socks (@happysocks) sponsored me with their good socks product. In return, I do promote them by making conceptual photographs showing their products. When uploaded to Instagram, I make good catchy captions to promo it to my audience. It turns out well.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Good pictures always come from your sincere heart, deep sense and good art of seeing. Be yourself in making photos and ignore the haters. Then the originality of your art will becomes inspiration to others.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love to be in touch with good companies as they will sponsor me with their good products and warm publicity. I am glad to make their product go famous with my own-produced arts. Furthermore, the most important is the awesome fun connection between the maker(companies), the promoter(me) and consumer(audience and customer).
