Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ariane Magalso @wanderlustchix

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Ariane, born and raised from the Philippines. I am travel & lifestyle vlogger and content creator of wanderlustchix. My passion for animals ha lead to me study Agriculture major in Animal Science which I graduated year 2008. I have worked in different industries like accounting, recruitment, administration, sales & marketing and now I am working in tourism.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am enjoying my passion like photography, adventure travels, beauty and fashion lifestyle. The photos the I usually like to post are the beauty sceneries/landscape with my beautiful outfit using my daily beauty products.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

‘Wanderlustchix’ is a reflection of myself as a free-spirited woman, loves to do adventure, never afraid to take a risk, always hungry for learning, always challenge myself to do better, and kind-hearted.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Adobe Lightroom and VSCO. First, I edit my raw photos in Lightroom, adjusting the exposure if the photo is kinda little bit dark, less contrast, less highlights, higher the shadows. Then I would play with the different color adjustments. Add some warm tones, adjust the clarity and sharpens the photo.Then I will use VSCO, I usually like the A4 filter for just +3 then adjust the tones, then add the grains and play with the split tone. Then I will save and post in Instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I followed Chelsea Kaui, she inspired me to take care the nature and used brands that are ecologically great and sustainable for the nature. She is so kind, friendly, pushing boundaries, a PADI ambassador and for me she’s a great role model in Instagram.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They should try Starngage to get some free sample and work with different brands.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love that I inspired people to get out from their comfort zone, be true to themselves and never ever compared themselves to others because every person is unique.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always think of ideas that are original and not a copy from someone else. I like to pose that it’s like stolen shot and not with just smiling in front of the camera.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Explore and be creative.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I can share my values and educate my audience regarding the products that I am endorsing.
