Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Angelica Ulloa @Babeluck

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in Ecuador, brought to Los Angeles for the American Dream, to have a better possible future. I grew up in a very reserved, conservative atmosphere, causing me to grow up with social issues mentally and physically. At age 18, I challenged myself to become a model and challenge my insecurities. Today, I manage 3 companies, and help companies grow through social media. I am now an established model, began my career as an actress this year, and assist in the medical field.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I use my IG to promote positivity in everything I either work on or do. My favorite topics are poetry, words, music or anything that can have a deep message. I love the entertainment industry, but am more passionate about people’s needs in life.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I grew up very socially awkward, my escape and what helped me make friends was video games. In Highschool I was given the nickname Babeluck, for apparently being a good looking girl that brought Gluck to the team that I was ever on. COD, Battlefield, and a few other PC games is where that all started from.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I love photowonder to take pictures of people, it’s an Asian app. I love technology and love what the Japanese and Koreans come up with for filters, stickers and much more. I use PicsArt for backgrounds and framing. When I make posts for the Rock Magazine I manage I use their Masks option as a frame to give it a dark edgy feel to images.
I use Snapee – sadly no longer available to anyone new. They closed their app down, but gave their old users the option to keep what they downloaded, you simply can’t use it to post or communicate anymore. They provided the best stickers and frames that are perfect for seasons, such as bats, cats, animals and cute people making all kinds of signs etc.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I actually love following styles, makeup people and so much more. I don’t have a favorite, but I think I equally take from so many that inspire styles, or whatever I’m in the mood in that moment.
My favorite so far are people from the UK

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Apps!!! I love apps, depending on what the instagrammer wants to get better at, there’s always a company or person creating something for it! I just found a app that turns any saved gif on your phone into a video for you to post on IG from an iPhone. Sadly, the steps for that are super long, but if you’re someone that likes to share posts with deep messages or fun videos, this app is amazing. Otherwise I’d say food.. I have tons of places listed for the most bizarre things to try that are insanely fun or delicious.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part is being an influence. It’s inspiring to have someone try or buy something you promote or vouch for, have people believe in you enough to try whatever you’re doing, is inspiring to me. If I can bring a happier day into someone’s life, that alone makes me happy.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Being personal, genuinely care for the persons interest and needs. Word of mouth is more powerful than a 1k advertisement that people don’t know about. Having a person get personal and promote in person with something physical as samples is what brings people in.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It’s more important to have quality over originality. Everyone can create something original, but not many can create great quality. It’s the quality of the content that attracts people to buy as presents and buy more of. When you give someone a gift, you look for quality over originality.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The connection and love, when you give the brand genuine love and promote them sincerely it attracts people, as it builds a real relationship with the brands.
