Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ameerah @amxe.ra

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m 16 years old and I’ll be finishing high school next year.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Most of my pictures are of my friends and I. I like to think of Instagram as a gallery of the good times in my life. It’s a place where the positive and good parts of my life are highlighted. I’m also really into the studyblr community on Instagram. Sometimes I post pictures of study notes and just everyday student life essentials. Makeup of course is something I’ve dedicated a lot of time into. It speaks to me as something similar to art. I find it beautiful how it can instantly increases someone’s confidence.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I actually had such a hard time coming up with a username that had similarities with my own name. I tried every combination I could until in the end I ended up with “amxe.ra”

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO! This is my go-to photo editing app. It’s usually the only app I use. I like to keep my photos looking quite filter free.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Zoella, Sheena Liam, Yuna and Vivy Yusof! They are all beautiful, strong and independent young women who are making their name in their own industry in their own special way. They are my inspiration to never give up and to work for what you believe in.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Get into the studyblr community! It’s so much fun and so effective. Personally, as a student, it motivates me to study so much and the time spent making notes is beneficial. It’s also so calming and you’ll be able to manage your time better. So it’s a win-win!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to bring a new change and perception to people from different parts of the world. It’s also interesting to see and learn about other influencers and from where they come from. It truly makes you realize the beauty in different people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You should always have your own personal quirkiness to your brand. Have something that attracts attention, in a good way. Many brands try to fit in by making their colour scheme the same or logo or fonts. It doesn’t stand out in such a big pond of other brands.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Extra time put in to maintain or improve one’s quality is never a bad time. Consumers will appreciate it more as well. The content you put out is also extremely important. It should always be from your own hardworking and inspiration.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love finding out and working together with the different products and brands supported by starngage.
