Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Amarya @Ms._harper

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a Jersey Girl and I’m trying to pursue a modeling career. I also wish to be in tv and movies one day. I’m trying to do a lot but the thing I want the most is modeling!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post myself ( of course ) sometimes with no makeup at all and not dressed up, I don’t care to show the real me or a nice outfit out somewhere, fruit, natural products and food, videos of me talking about my thoughts and humor.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I love my last name and I was trying to figure out how I could use that in a cool way so I figured why not replace ” Ms.Parker ” ( you know from the movie Friday ) with Ms. Harper.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I don’t really edit my pictures unless it was a photoshoot. I never even use the instagram filters but If I feel like my skin looks a little too bright I might tone down the brightness to the picture or sometimes I’ll use to the skin smoothing effect on the BeautyPlus app. I also use the InstaSize app when the full picture won’t fit on IG.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like Bernice Burgos. She made me love my brown skin even more. Honestly I remember at one point people were only about being lightskin and guys only liked lightskin girls but I feel like ever since she came out. Everybody loves their brown skin and guys love brownskin women a lot now.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think my instagrammers should all try being their natural selves. Ever since I’ve been being my natural self apparently my followers love it and I feel even more confident. Go a couple selfies without makeup. We forget how good looking we are under all that makeup because we’re so use to beating our faces lol

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Receiving the package and testing the product or merchandise out. I love revieweing things! Since I always loved watching the judges critic the food on foodnetwork shows it’s really cool that I’m able to critic and try things now too. I love the part where I get to take the selfie too lol

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I really feel like brands should go for the people that you know are real. A lot of people you see on instagram have fake bodies.. and that’s no disrespect to people that get work done because it does look good but when a girl has work done certain clothes wouldn’t fit the same on regular girls. It would make regular girls feel better seeing people with similar body shapes to them. You also should go with people that keep things real so u know their not lying about a product. If u can’t put up a picture with no makeup or no edit. How do u know if the product their talking about is really good?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

quality is important, never expect good reviews from something that doesn’t have good quality. Bad reviews = Bad Sales

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I just like feeling like we’re a team and and it’s fun showing off what brands sent me.
