Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Akash Negi @akashxn

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Based in Nagpur, India; I’m an 18 year old kid pursuing Electrical Engineering. Currently in my second year, I try my best to find some quality time to explore my city and take photos.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

There is no particular theme I go with. I prefer being random and my feed looks colorful (lol). Mostly interested in phone photography, I try to make every difficult shot using my phone. I own a dslr now, but the followers and love I’ve gained is through my phone only photos.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Earlier I used to be the @nondslr_guy. Phone was my only weapon. That was the best phase. Recently I got a dslr, hence I had to change my username to @akashxn.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Adobe Lightroom for some basic tweaks and color tones. Then vscocam on my phone and experimenting with its filters. That’s it.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Personally, @brandonwoelfel is GOD to me. I admire the pretty colors in his feed way too much. Also the mood he creates in his photos cannot be expressed in words.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Well, don’t stick to one theme. Try out everything. That’s when you learn.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I get to showcase my work and inspire people on a large scale. On top of it, I love to read all the lovely comments of them lovely followers.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Brands should understand the price an influencer charges for a post. Because that depends on what kind of photos the brand wants and sometimes these posts are overpriced because the influencer has to do stuff that he usually doesn’t. Hence, brands should prefer people in the right stream.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Inspiration can be taken from all over the internet. But the real art is when you create it with your own touch. That’s where quality automatically comes in.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to try cool stuff. Hah.
