Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Zelata Kogan @thezelatakogan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a marketing student from Montreal, Canada. I took the summer off to travel and I am currently enjoying the sun of the South of France. I left for almost one month already and I have explored NYC, Mexico City, Tulum, Paris, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and I am leaving to Spain shortly.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I loveee fashion (obviously) so I try to post outfits every now and then but I also enjoy traveling and I really hope to expand on this level.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is simply my first and last name 🙂

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I do not use any apps to edit my pictures. I only use the Instagram tools. My favorite is brightness and sharpen!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Anybody who travels, drinks coffee and like avocados 🙂

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Take some time off and travel alone without planning anything. Just live day by day and escape the routine.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love it when people look up to me and ask for advice. It is amazing to have an influence and it is even more amazing to inspire and guide others.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think that brands shouldn’t be too strict with influencers with regards of posting times and with the kind of pictures they want. Every influencer/ blogger knows what time works best for their followers and they also know what fits better with their feed (ootd, flatlay etc). In my opinion, it is better to let the influencer decide when to post and what to post.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I encourage everyone to just be themselves. Post about what you like and make it authentic. If you stay true to yourself, you will find a niche that works for you and you will be able to stand out.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love creating relationships. My ideal partnerships are the ones that get repeated. Repeat business is good and it also shows that there is a certain consistency. Consistency is key.
