1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
Honestly I’ll describe myself as a very outgoing person. I was born and bred in Nigeria, but I am currently schooling in the Uk. I love my country so much, that’s what makes me who I am today. It’s a country of culture and fun, there’s never a dull moment anywhere. It’s fun, bright and full of colors. I love fashion and would describe myself as Very fashion forward, I’ve loved fashion all my life (I know everyone says this) but I personally think while I was in my mothers stomach I must have read vogue magazines waiting throughout the nine months. I’m also a makeup enthusiast.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I mostly post pictures that I look good in. But like I said I’m from Nigeria and in my country we have very may I say “intriguing” looking foods that I know will be very eye-catching. So I mostly post fashion related pictures. Where I’m wearing something that is trending as of that moment
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My Instagram name is my name “zainabyesufu” I’ve thought about changing it. But I want to make my name my brand because I think just from my name you can which is Arabic you can tell a lot about me.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I use VSCO Cam mostly. VSCO works best when your picture already has very good lighting. I also use Photoshopp and or photoscape. Sometimes (very rarely) I use two different editing apps on one photo
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
Serrabellum. She’s Nigerian like me, and she has wonderful pictures. And she’s very creative, she doesn’t let the nasty comments people leave on her page affect her. Her Instagram is just lovely
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
The denim choker. It’s amazing, even Kim Kardashian was seen in it a few days ago. I love every “piece” of it
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
It allows me to share what I love with other people. While doing what I love- taking pictures. I love How it allows me make a positive impact on my followers and make them feel beautiful by giving them tips. Like where I get my clothes, lipstick etc from.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I would say make sure you portray your brands image. Get your audience to understand what your brand Is all about. Don’t just be a normal brand, don’t be so unoriginal. Be different! Find something other brands don’t have, that you do.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Personally I don’t agree and what I call “stealing”. My advice will be originality Is key, when you’re original people like you more, because you’re showing/posting yourself. Let’s say you love a post so much, there’s nothing wrong in trying to remix it. Make a post like that but your own touch to it. And you can even say where you got the inspiration from. And yours may even get more attention due to it’s originality
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I get to partner with brands I love and brands that I myself will wear. So it’s easier for me to use my influence to get people to patronize the brand I already love, because it’ll come almost naturally
