Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Yvonne @doublethemonkeybusiness

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Yvonne, blogger at Double the Monkey Business. I love to write and I am currently a Reporter / sub-editor for a newspaper. However I am moving into freelance in 4 months!!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I have twin boys so my pictures are usually family / parenting orientated. We also love to get out and about, so I have a lot of outdoor pics and travel photos. I love to see what other people post, especially when they have been travelling – it gives me inspiration!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I used the same name as my blog, so make it easy for people to find me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Oh I LOVE lightroom!!! That is my absolute favourite. I also use photoshop sometimes but I find Lightroom much more fun to use. Picmonkey is great for creating collages though, makes it very simple.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love to follow other bloggers and I love photos from You Baby, Me Mummy. I also love the feed from Dilan and me – she takes such gorgeous photos of his little boy, I love the filters that she uses.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Lightroom

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like the interaction with the people that follow my feed. I love to chat with them and have actually made some really good friends from doing just that.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Original posts which have a personal link back to the bloggers niche. Nothing stranger than wondering what that product has to do with that particular blogger.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Original content and quality is key to keeping people interested and engaged in your blog.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love it when i discover new brands that I had not heard of before – that is by far the best thing.
