Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Winston @Dheixk

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Winston, and I’m currently schooling in Singapore Polytechnic, in Singapore. I’m pursuing the Diploma in Media & Communication, and I’m just trying my luck here, haha. I pretty much do everything from production to marketing, public relations and a spectrum of other touchpoints related to media. Outside of school, I do graphics (logo, website, brochure and banner design) for small companies, and just want to try something bigger.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I like fashion, and I love photography. I like people in general, and I’m kind of extroverted so I post mostly people. Most of my photos are of people and them smiling. Smiles go for miles, right? Haha.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

LOL. I smashed my keyboard once and I got ‘dheixk’. Was too tired of trying to think of a cool name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom!! I enjoy editing my photography pictures and editing pictures makes me really happy, haha. I’ll make myself a cup of coffee, and just sit down on my sofa. I’ll play my very own Spotify playlist, and slowly edit my photos. This usually takes about two to three hours for a few photos? Haha.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really look up to @thedeekosh. He’s SOOO genuine, and funny all the time. I want to make people happy and laugh, the same way he does.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Be happy, and post what you truly feel – not what you want people to think you feel.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I get to make people happy!! That’s truly the best part of being an influencer – your voice matters, and possibly in great, positive ways!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Don’t force popular influencers to endorse your products. Look for suitable ones. This increases authenticity and reduces likelihood of creating bad publicity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Extremely important? People follow you to listen to you, not anything else.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

*sigh* Portfolio. My future relies on it.
