Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Vonisa Tang @vonisa

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

A 20 year-old with an avid interest in fashion, photography and anything artsy! A fearless girl who embraces herself for who she is. I stand against body shaming and i wished people would embrace their flaws and love themselves. I am currently taking a gap year and am doing a marketing and social media internship at a cafe.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion, photography. Street style photography.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name is simply my name as it represents uniquely me for who i am.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I do not use any apps to edit my photos. I either post them raw, as it is, or my photographers would request me to post their edited version and i would. Most of the time, my photographers edit the photos with either Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Yes definitely!! Instagrammers such as Christabel ( @bellywellyjelly) and Chiara Ferragni( @Chiara Ferragni) are my absolute favourites!! Christabel inspires me as she chases her passion on travelling and does what she loves, sharing with everyone her experiences and not being afraid of being herself. Chiara Ferragni inspires me as she started out small, developing into who she is now, known for her clothing line and exquisite fashion tastes. She proved that dreams do come true.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would, without a doubt, say that we got to throw away body image and beauty standards set by society. I am definitely not a size 2 but i love myself and embrace my flaws. Imagine a world filled with perfect sized 2 human beings. One, it is definitely scary. Secondly, what is the point of being all the same? Yes, you are size 2, you are perfect in society’s eyes. So? How does that make you you? No 2 person is can be exactly the same. You should live your life the way you want it, instead of trying to live the lives of others. Once you embrace your flaws, you will see the world differently!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Inspiring other potential influencers out there and at the same time learning and meeting other influencers!! I mean, isn’t it exciting to meet influencers who have inspired you and at the same time give inspiration to others.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Set a goal. You need to have a goal when running a campaign. Whether you meet the goal or not is a different story. Once you have a goal, you can keep trying different ways to reach it and explore the more effective ways. Also, be different. Do not put out a cliche campaign that would not attract people. Yes, the method or way of campaign may be similar to others, but the content in it has got to keep the hearts of the audience. To maintain authenticity, Always stand firm on your ground. Do not waver. Always make sure that you represent yourself, or brand, no matter how hard it becomes.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and original content is definitely important. It represents you, or your brand, and affects your audience. Your content is the connection between you and your audience. A firm connection helps you, or your brand, to grow steadily. Put yourself in your audiences’ shoes to check on your content. That way, you will know whether the content on hand is worthy of your audience or not.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Exposure to the industry and you get to know more about the brands rather than hearing its name and products on the surface.
