Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Vessel of Blood @vesselofblood

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a New York gothic makeup addict and model! I do makeup in my spare time as a hobby, and I love making content for Instagram and YouTube. For my day job I’m a graphic designer.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love lip art, and I’m constantly practicing to get better at it. I’m fairly well known for lip swatches and lip art, as well as my fangs.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It was inspired by a line of dialogue in Dark Souls 2, which is one of my favorite video games. “We are feeble vessels with feebler souls”.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use photoshop to edit my photos, but I do as little editing as possible. I feel that being more realistic in my presentation (not over smoothing my skin or Photoshopping myself to look like a perfect doll) is very important.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love so many it’s hard to choose just a few! Girl Grey Beauty and Vlada MUA are two of my favorite lip artists!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They should try planning their feeds ahead of time. Seeing my posts line up in the grid is very satisfying.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love interacting with my followers. I do live feeds as often as I can, and I always welcome and answer my DMs.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Keep it professional, but not impersonal. It’s important for your audience to be able to connect with you, and making great quality content while still being approachable is the key.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It’s never ok to copy someone else or to take someone else’s content. If you want to be noticed by brands and become an influencer, quality content is key! Originality will help you stand out from the crowd.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love that we’re able to help each other!
