Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Vanessa @Melodylegendd

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Right now I’m taking private acting sessions with a personal coach. I’m seeking a new talent agency. I just got done with my first gig in being in an extra on a very popular show for the abc network. And I come from Whittier, California. I’ve lived here all my life and was raised here. My father is from Spain and my mother is from East LA.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I normally post selfies of me wearing beauty products. I feel like I should push myself more in that direction since I’m constantly purchasing new makeup products and lashes that are from different countries and states. I travel and like to take pictures of where I’ve been with my mini Sony HD camera.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name will be my stage name because I made it for a tinder account since I didn’t want my real name out there so I wrote melody as my first name which is actually my REAL name and Legend as my last name which is just an idea I had to put because I love drake and his song had popped up in my head at the time.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I honestly don’t use any apps to edit my photos. I do however just make them smaller through insta size. So you get the whole view and not the square portion that Instagram likes to display. Some of my selfies are edited but that’s because I will originally take them from snapchat and apply a filter from the app.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

No instagrammers inspire me. I really like foodsofdisneyland. I’m a HUGE Disney fanatic so keeping up with them and seeing their posts lets me know all the new treats at Disney.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

These new lashes from xoxo beauty I purchased from New Zealand.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The likes I get and personal messages about questions my viewers have since I don’t post anything about what I have on or where I took a picture at.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I tend to stay away from any brands that want me to promote them because it’s constantly the same brands that other viners, and youtubers promote. People on Instagram already know it’s an ad. I would actually choose a brand that hasn’t been done and of course that I would actually like.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

To not think like other influencers. I watch a lot of youtubers and people who were on vine and switched to YouTube. Most of them copy the same slogan or joke. I will never do that.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It challenges me to be creative.
