Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Vanessa Angayen Malla @crochetartsy

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello, My name is Vanessa and I’m from the Philippines, I specifically do crochet arts and share it in my Instagram posts as well as my Facebook page, and I also do product testing as a sideline job.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post mostly my projects in crochet but I also have 2 other Instagram accounts which is @naturesandthings and @allfood , I post different things @naturesandthings like my homemade breads, pasta, coffee and interest in music like acoustic guitars and other different music instrument and also I post my different shots in nature, while in @allfood its not official yet, I haven’t decided what content I should put in their but I already posted some artisan breads that my husband baked, but I’m planning to post some of the products that was sent to me for reviewing.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I came up with the name croochetartsy because my content in that account is mostly about my love for arts and crafts specifically crochet arts, and naturesandthings because I post stuffs, different stuffs like nature and things haha, and allfood well its undecided yet because its unofficial, but soon I will fix it.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use adobe Lightroom cc and canva for editing my photos.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow lots of Instagrammer but I specifically like Heart Evangelista not just because she’s an actress that most people look up to but she’s a good influencer that promotes arts through Fashion, painting, makeup and I love that she supports pet adoption that she advertises people to adopt their pets and not purchase them, specifically here in the Philippines we don’t have the luxury of many pet shelters and foster homes for dogs and cats who are stray, most of the stray dogs end up in butcher houses which is illegal and some are put in impound and some mostly end up being homeless wandering around, so I admire her and she inspires me a lot.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being an influencer you get to have an impact to people which is good because you get to promote lots of things, and you have the power to advertise useful things and products and being an influencer alone is such an amazing opportunity to inspire and spread positivity and love to others.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I haven’t participated in a any yet.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and originality is very important, we don’t want to labeled as copycat right? So maintaining originality and quality is something that Influencers do to be able to impact well to people.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Partnering with brands is an opportunity, you get to be able to share your training and skills, while making a significant contribution to the success of the company.
