Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Valentina Lozano @valentinalozanor

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Valentina. I am 18 years old. I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, and almost a year ago I moved to Florida. I’m going to be a high school senior for the 2016 – 2017 school year.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I like trying new things, and I’m always open for new experiences. I’m a foodie, I am passionate about food since a young age, and I have a couple of Instagram accounts where I post food reviews and food I do myself. I’m also getting into the fitness world. I’m currently attending Zumba, Yoga, Spinning classes, between others, daily. I also love to travel, every time I have the opportunity I don’t hesitate to do so. I also like make up and fashion, but I’m still working on getting more into that. What I post the most on my Instagram are pictures of me with my friends/family and pictures of activities I participate in, or even places I visited.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name is pretty simple. It is my first and last name and the initial letter of my second last name, which is very common to be used in Latin America.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The apps I use to edit photos are Aviary and VSCO. I first use Aviary to fix small details I don’t like about the picture. After that, I use VSCO to put a filter on it, or to fix brightness or contrast issues.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Instagrammers I really like are lelePons and Matthew Windey. I think they are very original and are very funny. I also like the fact that they are successful and are Latinos. I don’t really have an specific one that inspires me the most.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

One thing they gotta try, could be Zumba classes, which are a fun way of exercising. Also they should try the new Lancome Juicy Shaker, which looks pretty interesting.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is helping people to get out of their comfort zones and get them to try new things.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

One of my top tips is keeping the diversity when it comes to people participating in the campaigns. I maintain authenticity by speaking my mind and sharing my ideas, no matter how crazy they may sound.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and originality are definitely two important characteristics. Originality catches people’s attention. The quality keeps people’s attention and makes them want to come back for more.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

What I would like the most about partnering with brands would be helping them reaching their goals, and showing that you don’t need to be a super model to be part of campaigns.
