Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Third Sumbilon @thirdy_galore

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi There! My full name is actually Paterno III Villamor Sumbilon and it is really Long to be remembered, so I decided to let people call me “Third” since I am the third generation in our family. Oh yea like the historic era where the king and queens are called with Roman numeral on their names, I am one of them! I am currently working as a Retail Executive in Changi Airport since 2011. In this past few years while working , I put a little challenge of myself not just to be in the same place, I took short courses in Fashion and Language “Mandarin” to improve what I should and to reach more things that I thought I cannot. I am from the land of the orient seas “Philippines”.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love Fashion, Travel, Lifestyle and Food. I usually post OOTD to inspire my fellow instagrammers what to wear and stuff, because I was once a disaster in comes to Fashion several years back. I love posting the stuffs like “dress to express while overseas”, must nailed the highway and streets of the foreign land you visited as if it’s the last chance you visit them, as far that I could.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I was once a fan of Kitty Galore in the movie Garfield, and she is the antagonist in the movie and she is abit tricky and clever, but sometimes she fail though which I believe failure is sometimes, somehow part of the challenge, that’s why I call my self Thirdy Galore. My bench mark! 😉

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use Line Camera, Fotorus and Instagram itself to edit pics and of course natural pics from iPhone camera which sometimes don’t need edit if the lighting is too good enough and if it really needs just adjust the brightness and contrast of it and the saturation and good to post already!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really inspired by @laureenmuy a lot, a fashion and travel blogger, I haven’t met her yet but I really hope so. And @dreachong she is gorgeous, I met her last time in Digital Fashion Week 2015 and she was just too nice to me and her posts are having so much thoughts on it that you will just say to yourself ” I just wanted to be her right now, right now!”

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Express more to themselves, show more of what is inside their veins and be happy on the little things we have right now. And experiment themselves to what and where they fit in. Just do it!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love to inspire the frustrated ones because I was once a frustrated and I know really how it feels. It feels good if you hear from them saying, I saw your post and it inspires me to do more, I tell you what- it’s priceless! No price tag!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I can say that, really must try the brand before anything else and be truthful to the reviews and be comfortable on it. The authenticity will fall into your honest reviews and the people tried it before publishing to the media. Quality must be there rather than quantity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

If the quality is there, the success in future won’t be dimmed. Should be truthful to it, and consumers will just patronized without any hard time begging for their loyalty. They will just come and get it!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The one thing I like the best is – self achievement! Like you never thought you could be partner with this brand suddenly in one click it’s just in you door steps. Last time you thought was like only celebrities were having the right to do so but oh wells, now I have the right too, even though I’m not having a big name yet on the industry but coming soon! Mark it!
