Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Thalia Gomez @thalirose

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a Venezuelan photographer currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I do many stuff to survive every day but what really keeps me alive is photography and images in general I usually work in the fashion industry, which I like to approach in a sensitive way, I just don’t like the cold fake stereotyped fashion shots, which is why I try very hard to stick to the natural light and real sets, more than flashes and studios. Being an immigrant is not always easy, but you have to find a way to follow you passion in order to survive, even if it’s only once a month, you must stay strong.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I used to post a lot about women in general, their sensitiveness, their beauty, their struggle, their way to relate to one another. But lately I’ve been posting a lot more about myself, because I’m a woman too, I struggle too, and I like sharing who I am and finding that some people can relate to my feelings 🙂

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My full name is Thalia Rosa del Mar, and I’ve always been fond of English and foreign languages, so I translated part of it and at the same time I feel it’s in a way modernizing it a bit.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I always use photoshop, there’s just no way I can use any other thing to edit my photos, it’s just like a religion to me, I’ve been using it since I’m about 14, so…

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Oh yes, mostly woman actually. @perazna and @kat_in_nyc are my TOP inspiration, they’re 2 female photographers who also photograph women in such unique ways, I just love how much they can make you feel though their pictures

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Well, right now I’m a lot into the fitness life, I never though I could engage so much, but once you’re there you realize working on your body is the only thing which results will only depend on you and nothing else is on the way. Achieving your own goals it’s just priceless, I highly recommend it, hah.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I don’t quite feel an influencer myself, but if you mean what’s my fav part of being in touch with people at this level, well that’s it haha, I just like people a lot, I like making contact, communicating with them, I’m definitely a people person

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Well, all brands must have a personality, and based in that you can think of it as a person, and always being yourself will lead you to make authentic connections, no matter what kind of connections you’re aimed to make. So always stick to who you are and don’t try to embrace trends in your own particular way

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Wow, it’s just a must, I think the more real the content is the biggest chance you get to authentically connect to an audience

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

As I said before I love making connections, getting to know more and more people it’s just exciting to me, and behind a brand there’s always a team trying it’s best to make it work, I love how different talents can work together to reach a goal, in that process you gain so much experience and knowledge, it’s just beautiful
