Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Stevie Johnson @steviej_23

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hey! I’m Stevie and I am from London Town in the UK. I spent the last 3 years on a Bafta winning TV show, and very much got a taste of the high-life as a result!

Now I still work in TV jobs as well as being involved in the technology sector.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My favourite topics of interest have to be travel, fashion, and food. These things take up A LOT of my Instagram feed, but I also post about my every day life cruising around London.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My nickname, and my favourite number…simple!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use mainly VSCO and InstaSize

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I think Jay Alvarez’s feed is one of the coolest out there. His whole travel vibe is amazing, and he’s a stylish guy at that.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I’ll have to have a think!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Having people look to me for advice on the best places to go, eat, experience etc. It adds a bit of pressure but I love it!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You’ve got to let an influencer have the creative freedom to do what they want. They know how to get a message across, and they have built up a significant following by doing so. Having too much control on how they post, what caption they put etc. makes it so obvious that this is promotional work. Let the influencer make it organic in their own right, and then both sides will benefit.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quite simply, that is why people take an interest in you. If you are providing something they have seen before, your numbers won’t go up. You need to show original quality and personality in your posts to attract individuals.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Learning more about a brand, and sharing their vision. So many brands have such incredible ideas, and sometimes you only get a chance to appreciate that when you are partnering them to see it for yourself. A partnership is a coming together where people want the best for all parties. So whilst we enjoy promoting the brands, the brands are also trying to help us out.
