Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Soon to be Disclosed @theleisureguide

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from the exhilarating city of Toronto. I am currently a law student, also looking to form a platform to fulfil the need of adventures like me. Seeing new places, trying new things are all things I do in order to fulfil my life goal: to visit every country in the globe at least once!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are mainly leisure activities, focusing mainly on travel and everything that involves. This includes cities to visit, hotels to stay at, activities to do and foods to try. I share photos and videos of photographers on instagram because I think it is important to share the various and incredible talent that is out there.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I was thinking of how to combine and make an all in one page for people to visit. The word leisure relates to free time and all these things are things we do in our free time. Combining leisure with the word guide, creates a free time activity guide.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I am more of a natural kind of lady. I post photos and videos with their original lighting, for me that has always caught my attention, I feel it is something real and closer to me.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I enjoy various of traveller’s instagrams. One of my favourite has got to be @doyoutravel. He is very talented and has some of the best shots I’ve seen. I also enjoy various more low key photographers. I think it is important to have their work shared.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

There is so much more to come on The Leisure Guide. I have many ideas in the works, more ways of engaging with my followers and brining a whole new game changing concept to the page. The adventure is just beginning so stick around for more!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like that I can relate and bring to others what I enjoy. What we get to do with our free time is one of the greatest joys we have in life. If it is travel or simply going to your favourite restaurant, it is something we enjoy and I like that I can contribute to the use of people’s free time.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think it is important to have a stamp that differentiates you from the rest, that is what will atract people and keep them coming back. It is also very important to act on what is said, by this I mean that if it is promised to complete a certain action to go through with it, this way the trust is maintained between brands and consumers.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think quality is important because that is what people deserve, they take time out of their day to look through the page and also support you, the least they can recive is quality in what is shown. It is inportant to be original to keep them coming back, being creative and finding new way to start something new creates excitement for the people visiting the page. Your page becomes much more enjoyable with quality and original content.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like that you can combine talents, partnering with a brand makes for a stronger final product. What one is missing, the other one can fill or simply highlight the message that is already there. It is an opportunity to expand and reach more people and share something that they may have been looking for all along!
