Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Shira Rosenbluth @asequinloveaffair

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a psychotherapist and style blogger from New York. My two jobs are obviously very different but I love the balance of having both in my life. I love getting creative and sharing ways to have fun with your style regardless of body shape or budget.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post mostly about personal style and beauty.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I love a good sparkle (whether daytime or nighttime!) and a family friend actually suggested it over dinner when we were discussing what to name my blog. I immediately went home and saw that the blog name wasn’t taken and purchased the domain that night!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I honestly have most of my photos already edited as I work with a photographer who sends me back the edited photos. But I do like A Color Story a lot and use the basic “essential” filters a lot on the few cell phone shots I do post such as nail art and the occasional brunch shot.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love Nicolette Mason because she’s genuine, fun, and has a really great sense of style. I think above all, kindness is essential because if you’re not a decent person I have zero desire to follow you. I love her style and the way she dresses her gorgeous and curvy shape. I also love following @superflynails, Deniz Gurbuz for her feminine and bold style, for nail art inspiration and @vivaluxuryblog because I love her photography.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Every awesome brunch spot in NYC. 🙂 Start the bucket list ASAP!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to share the things I love with my readers and connect with them on a genuine level. Why keep the good stuff a secret? 🙂

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think it’s essential to find bloggers you feel would represent your brand authentically. If you choose people that are a poor fit for your brand, it often shows and there goes the struggle with remaining authentic. Choosing to work with influencers who genuinely enjoy your products is important.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Again, staying authentic is key. I also think quality photos are crucial since visuals are everything.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like being able to get creative and showcase the brands I love with my readers.
