Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Shikha Chaudhary @soulstrokes

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Shikha Chaudhary, currently residing in Hyderabad. I am professionally a Software Engineer and Blogger by passion. I am a very creative person and I love the fact that through Instagram and my Blog(soulstrokes.co.in), I can share a piece of my mind with everyone. I try to create interesting, beautiful content as part my daily chores now.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I do lifestyle Blogging that revolves around Travel, Fashion, Beauty & Photography. And the same came be seen on my Instagram account as well. Fashion posts on my Insta would surpass everything else cause I love fashion since childhood. I enjoy the process of creating beautiful looks and outfits that can inspire people and give them ideas to create their own best looks. Basically anything that I love and enjoy goes up on my Insta.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Before I was on Instagram I used to do a lot of Acrylic Paintings and I thought of putting those up on Facebook. While thinking on names for the page I came down to ” Soul Strokes” as my paintings are literally a piece of my soul and mind laid on the canvas. When I started Instagram I continued the same name as eventually everything I put up there as well comes from something that I have created and put a lot of love and work into.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I click most of pictures using Nikon D5100 and everything comes to my MacBook before being uploaded anywhere. The software I use the most for Editing is Lightroom. I love the ease of editing that comes with it, especially for Bulk editing.
If pic is clicked from my Phone then I just edit it on Instagram itself.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Velvet dresses,they are so much in fashion. Or trying out the Colour of the Year 2017 : “Greenery”. It is soon going to be all over the place.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

It feels super amazing and satisfying when people appreciate all the hard work and love you put out there. It is the most rewarding thing about being an influencer. Answering someone’s doubts/ queries, giving suggestion, helping out fellow friends. The whole experience just calms me down somehow.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Creating the right hashtag, that justifies the brand as well as the campaign makes a lot of difference. also looking out for fresh creative ideas and people can also prove to be really rewarding.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

At a time when there are so many people out there doing the exact same thing that you are. Originality is what differentiates you from the rest. If the content isn’t original people will get bored at some point. Also, mainting good quality is an integral part of the work. Bring your own creative self to life by doing quality work and you will definitely be appreciated.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

There is so much out in the world to learn and understand for you own growth. And partnering with brands is just that. Its 2 different ideas and minds meeting together to produce something really really wonderful. The result that comes out of a good, authentic partnership is what I like the most.
