Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Sharon Duncan @mrsdimplesb

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

What can I say. I am probably a little older than most beauty bloggers 🙂 I currently work with SEN children and love my job (most days) I am uk born originally from Oldham, spent my teenage life in Chester and now happily married in Essex. 3 children 23, 21,14.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I have lots of interests but a lot of my posts are nail polish pictures, I have an obsession for beautiful nails 🙂 makeup & skincare post come close.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well I have Dimples and as a child I hated them and people would always comment my reaction was errrr every time lol but as I got older I started to embrace them. So when I was thinking about a name I thought about Shal as that is what people call me but then decided it had to be something quirky that fits my personality, I am married I have Dimples and I love beauty hence Mrs Dimples was born.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I like to use Piz-app a lot, pic monkey and canvas are great. boomerang for fun.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I don’t have a great deal of massive Instagram people I follow, I like to follow people that take good but natural (almost) photos, I love @gossmakeupartist and a beautiful lady @rougepout_beauty. I have found a love for @carmimua, who I recently came across on youtube.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Now you haven’t been specific on this so I am going to say food 🙂 I just bought these new battered Irish sausages that can be cooked in the oven, omg they are amazing.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Every thing 🙂 I am so sad aren’t I. I love the postman coming with items, I love seeing new products, trying them out is always fun, I can’t wait to get photos taken and then writing about them, I mini blog all the time on Instagram.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I am not quite sure I have been in a position to say. I always make sure the brand knows I am honest but fair in my reviews.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Always be true to yourself when doing reviews for brands, you need to keep originality with content because people are interested in facts and weather they work, if you change what you do for a product people wont want to trust your opinions.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think of it more as a job when partnering with brands, because I love that they want me to talk about what they have produced. Interaction with them on social platforms is fun too and then it’s like yes I did this 🙂
