Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Sarah @Sarah_M_Weber

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 23 year old graduate of Penn State University and have always lived in PA. I have a full time job working for the surveillance system that powers all of the train and bus systems in and around Philly, model and act, work part time as various Disney princesses, and provide meal plans for clients online for weight loss. I have two younger brothers who I absolutely adore, and my favorite thing to do is exercise, which I show on my YouTube channel!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I have a ton of interests, but my main interests are fitness, nutrition and EDM music. I like to make my Instagram about my whole life not just fitness or not just modelling or not just friends. I like to show the world all sides of me and who I am and what I enjoy, not just one aspect.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Oh geeze I don’t even remember!! All I know is one of my first photos is of an orange bell pepper hahahah. I never deleted it because it’s so funny to me now that I would post that. I have definitely evolved my Instagram and have learned the ins and outs of it and have grown it to where I want it to be. I can’t wait to see where it keeps going. I absolutely love inspiring people and that’s my favorite part about my page.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I actually don’t use any editing apps unless I need to make it so the photo can fit Instagram. For that, I use “SquareReady”. You can take your image and just flip it around and shrink it into the “Instagram Square” size. Whenever I want to compile more than one photo, which isn’t often, I use “Pic Stitch”. Besides that, I just choose a filter (or not) and post!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are a bunch of Instagrammers out there I like, but my absolute biggest inspiration is Heidi Sommers, or BuffBunny on Instagram. She is big in the fitness industry and she’s full of positive energy. She is also clean on her page and doesn’t post anything inappropriate like so many fitness people do.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I have a lot of sensitivities-dairy, gluten, even sugar. My stomach bothers me almost every single day and it’s really hard to keep all these things out of my diet AND eat clean with those limitations. That being said, my stomach is super sensitive to acidic foods and drinks, such as coffee. I am all about easy life hacks and I recently discovered putting a pinch of baking soda in your coffee combats its acidity-which is much better for all our stomachs anyway. So THAT is something everyone who drinks coffee should try 🙂 (You too!!)

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to spread positivity and lift people up even if it’s just a little bit. The little messages and comments I get from my followers telling me I have helped them in some way whether it be in the gym, kitchen, or just life in general, make my heart feel so incredibly full. i want to be able to reach more people and help more people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think something that make people stop is the word “free” or “giveaway”. Who doesn’t love free stuff? If a campaign can offer some type of incentive, I believe it will go much further than those that do not. Authenticity is maintained by being real. Showing behind the scenes, the messes, the negatives along with the positives. It reminds people that there are real PEOPLE behind these campaigns living lives just like they are.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality, originality and being realistic are the three things I think are of utmost importance to have a good Instagram page. I can’t stand looking at pages that have blurry photos, or are positioned wrong-it drives followers, aka customers, away. Being original is just as important because why would anyone want to follow you if you’re just like everyone else? Each person has to be original, or they’ll just fall away like all the others.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think the best part is working WITH each other to better each other. For example, if I’m representing a fitness clothing line-I want it to be beneficial for both me AND the company, and I’d want to work with companies and brands that feel the same way. I think it’s all about supporting one another and pushing each other to reach their goals as they help you with yours.
